Hoon Hay School pupils were shocked to find out their beloved Principal Mr. Voller was going to retire. They were overwhelmed to hear this but they were all very happy for him.
They threw a wonderful assembly for him with all his favourite songs and our wonderful Mrs Peterson made a unique song just for him. The school was without a principal for a few days but pupils were pleased to find out they were getting an experienced and kind new principal called Ms McArthur.
The children were excited and welcoming to their new principal Ms McArthur and say they enjoy having her in the school. The principal told us that she’s happy to have such a great welcoming and to be the leader of a fantastic school with high expectations.
Ms McArthur bought in many new ideas for the school like for example the house flags and the level names but was happy to keep the traditions that Mr. Voller had carried through like for example: principal awards and the house cup. All the children are very happy about the changes.
Before long every one was settled and is excited to find out what other wonderful ideas the principal has.
